2002-2006 colombian electoral campaign lack to have a proper coverage by newpapers in this country. The analysis made by the inestigators to seven newspapers and two magazines reveal that written means limited theirselves to cover the campaigns taking the candidates as protagonists and not their government programs, from an sight purely informative, focused in day by day development and not in the context analysis, what would give firm bases to the voters in order to make a really thorough votation in the caskets. Newspapers didn't want to compromise and preferred to live aside it's guiding function. To the little spacre given to the coverage of the candidates to he presidents, it attaches the almost nonexistent contrast in sources and the anonimity of the authors, what makes clear the poor quality of the information that colombian people received about political options they had, to he managed during the next four years.
