This article shows the usefulness of a theoretical and methodological accumulation of three approaches to critical studies of discourse in a possible sociological examination of domination: the historical discursive method, textually-oriented discourse analysis and social-cognitive studies. The example underlying the article is the domination that can appear in contemporary administrative discourse, which could be clarified precisely through input from the aforementioned approaches.
