Pain: Narratives of In-visibility and Oblivion

This paper presents the research The invisible from media accounts of the pain in Colombia through the case study: Tragedy of Armero as the center of the event that marked the study of pain labeled by the disaster victims. The text is divided into two parts and a concluding section. The first part, initially, makes a description of the research project that presents a contextualization of the research problem, and the second one, addresses the research question. The second part of the article presents the methodological process that describes the method used. So in this way, the first section describes the research corpus which is studied: What is invisible pain in news accounts in the two most important newspapers. The criteria for the selection of the sample set are in the second section and the third section the design matrix analysis and the results of the analysis are presented. Finally, in the conclusions two out of the five categories worked in the research are presented, which allow for a scope of theoretical approaches to cultural pain. This will be based on the theoretical reflections that contribute to the theme from Le Breton, Madrid and Moscoso, among others.Downloads
