Keywords:
Author, reader, literary communication.Abstract
Production and comprehension of a literary text implies a particular communication between two individuals: author and reader. This communication includes fundamental human problems such the question about "the other" and the sense: What do we write for? Must the writing and reading work help us to search a sense of life? When I read, may I get rid of a communication with that "other" called author. and just look for myself? The article intends to answer these and other questions about the subject, keeping a critical distance from certain theories that explain literary communication by reducing or even denying the author's role semiotic function.
