Abstract

In front of the apparent dominium of the audiovisual culture and the avalanche of technological advances that have meant a radica change in the history of knowledge, it has surged a great dehate: Can reeling he replaced by the glohal look to weh pages and digitalized information? The present article is pointed to demonstrate that today, more than in any other age, acquires special importance the domination of lecture skill, hecause neither the internet with its millions of indiscirminate information nor the een more growing apparition of books i CD-ROM, can make possihle to set aside the act of reading. Therefore, those demand from the user more development on the acknowledgement process, whose chapters suppose the really comprehensive reading and the dominium of ahilities to reference, transfer and value, capacities without whom, getting close to new technologies hecomes an act of mechanical skill that, instead of meaning an advance in men's development can constitute in an evolutive hackward motion.

Luz Carmen Barrera Avellaneda, Universidad de La Sabana

Licenciada en Humanidades e Idiomas con especialización en Literatura Latinoamericana de la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia. Periodista y especialista en Dramaturgia para Televisión y Cine de la Universidad Externado de Colombia. Profesora de Español y Literatura desde hace 25 años, de los cuales 11 ha estado vinculada a la Universidad de La Sabana, donde ha tenido a su cargo las cátedras de Español; Teoría del Relato, y Literatura Colombiana, Latinoamericana y Universal.
