Abstract

The Brazilian soap operas have taken the attention of viewers worldwide, and the Globo, in particular, has been a major responsible for this success. In Brazil, the exhibitions of the global soap opera traditionally take place in three ranges of time, each one identifying with a specific public profile and thematic content. The objective of this research is to observe this tradition though the method of contend analysis in the last ten years (2001-2011).
