The factors necessary for citizen journalism to carry informative weight are examined in this paper. A model for interaction between professionals and citizens to generate socially-meaningful content is provided, along with a methodological proposal for analyzing the current development and scope of citizen journalism and identifying the aspects that have favored its exercise in six different media.Downloads
