Abstract

In response to the publication of false and erroneous information in the mass media, the Colombian Constitution establishes the right to rectification under fair conditions. However, there is no concurrence between doctrine, the academic community and the judiciary on a unanimous criterion concerning the legal scope of information equity. For this reason, the Constitutional Court has established, through its rulings, a variety of tenets aimed at guaranteeing information equity that seeks redress for those whose rights have been aff ected by journalistic publications.
